Kenora
is an All Season Destination.
Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter we are OPEN for BUSINESS.
Kenora's
population during the summer swells from 15,000+/- permanent
residents to thousands more as the influx of summer cottagers,
anglers from every Province in Canada, State of the United States
and countries around the world return to or visit for the first
time our spectacular wilderness area we call home, Kenora
Ontario Canada and there are those who are pleased
to welcome you again, and thank you for visiting.
The Lake of the Woods offers some of
the finest fishing for walleye, small mouth bass, muskie, lake
trout and other species of freshwater fish other lakes in Ontario
offer, but we have features that other areas do not offer. Namely
traffic jams that extend for miles as you see in Southern Ontario
nearly every Long Weekend. Smog and Air Pollution, Poor fishing,
Poor Water Quality and much more. Do not get us wrong, you may
see what "some call" traffic jams downtown or in other
areas of our fair city, and you may even have to wait in line
at some of the chain stores, but remember you are still NOT
in Downtown Toronto, Winnipeg etc. But in a more or less remote
section of Ontario where fishing, hunting, snowmobiling rules.
Take your time. YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY'S.
Places
to visit, stay and play in Kenora.
While
in Kenora may we suggest some of the following:
A
boating tour on the MS Kenora. This ship plys
Lake of the Woods on a daily basis showing it's riders some
of the great features Lake of the Woods offers.

months. Conveniently located in Downtown Kenora on Main Street.
At
the Entrance to Kenora you will pass an Ontario and Kenora landmark. Husky the Muskie. This large statue
of the muskie is to remind those that Lake of the Woods is one
of the finest bodies of water in NW Ontario for fishing for
a Trophy Muskie. Each year anglers ply LOTW in hopes of catching
a trophy fish and every year anglers put back fish over 50 inches
long.
